On May, 7th, 2026, 8-9pm German time, Dr. Linda-Joy (LJ) Lee will be a featured speaker at NeuroConnect — an international online congress dedicated to Neural Health and Brain-Based Training.

This unique four-evening event brings together leading experts in neuroscience, medicine, therapy, and brain-based training to explore applied neurology from science to clinical practice. The congress promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and highlights practical, research-informed approaches that clinicians can immediately integrate into their work.

Thoracic Dysfunction & Sympathetic Sensitization – The Role of the Thorax in Dysautonomia

With growing awareness of autonomic dysregulation and Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) upregulation, LJ will present a clinically grounded and biologically plausible perspective on a frequently overlooked driver of dysautonomia: neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction of the thorax.

Given that the SNS is anatomically housed within the thoracic spine and ribcage, mechanical and neurological dysfunction in this region may contribute significantly to sympathetic sensitization. Drawing from nearly 30 years of clinical observation and application of the TrueWholeBody™ Physiotherapy models — ConnectTherapy™ & the Thoracic Ring Approach™ — LJ will illustrate how specific assessment, treatment, and exercise prescription targeting thoracic dysfunction can result in immediate and lasting changes in sympathetically mediated symptoms.
