Virtual ConnectTherapy™ Grand Rounds, October, 2024

ConnectTherapy Grand Rounds with Dr. Linda-Joy (LJ) Lee. This is a short & sweet recorded online 90 minute session that will include 2 patient case studies presented by soon-to-be ConnectTherapy™ Certified Practitioners. 

  • Please note the Pre-Requisite for this course is minimum the Virtual ConnectTherapy™ & the Thorax course 

1) Success Case Study:  Presented by Nelly Yockell: our success story patient is a 27 year old runner presenting with chronic bilateral shin splints preventing him from doing any sustainable running training. With treatment in the models, he recently won 4th place in his last run – 100 km in 3 days! In our discussion of treatment for this patient we will explore the management of exercises and training along with the role of using ConnectTherapy™ Self Checks and RESET exercises and how treatment has been different from traditional management ideas.

 2) Challenge Case Study: Presented by Libby Meakin: the challenge case study is about a highly motivated but regularly exhausted ER doctor with chronic right hip pain, who also experiences tension into their right lumbar and thoracic region when the hip pain flares. Their response to treatment varies, with some sessions reporting feeling good and experiencing progress and others feeling like they are returning to square one. Libby will be looking for LJ’s insights into what might be the reason for this varied response – is it something missing in the Driver Profile or exercise program or something else? Currently Libby’s treatment is based on the Driver Profile: Primary Driver CoDriver between the Thorax (R 5/4) and the right Lower Extremity (Co knee and foot).

Our Grand Rounds has been inspired from running our Refresher course for Series Grads, where patient cases have been discussed virtually and the participants have found great success in their clinical practices by having LJ’s input –
