With close connections to the sporting community, Brayden is a passionate physiotherapist with over 10 years experience in musculoskeletal and manipulative physiotherapy.
Being active has always been a part of Brayden’s life, so he knows what it takes to stay focused on goals, and also the frustration that comes when injuries and setbacks occur.
Working closely with professional athletes in their pursuit of goals, including Olympic and Commonwealth athletes and football league players at various levels, has given Brayden extensive experience managing sport-related injuries.
But he also recognises that you don’t have to be an elite athlete to prioritise the performance of your body. The care he applies in his role supporting athletes is the same standard that you’ll experience in our clinic, no matter your goals or challenges.
Brayden’s calm and caring manner make him relatable to a wide range of patients, for whom he goes above and beyond to ensure they feel supported and confident through their rehabilitation journey.
Having previously worked as a paediatric physiotherapist, and further developing skills working with youths through the Mt Albert Grammar School academy, Brayden has a particular ability to connect and engage with younger patients and youth athletes.
To help patients achieve their full, functional potential, Brayden draws on his qualifications as a Connect Therapy and Thoracic Ring Certified therapist, a framework that allows him to consider the whole body and the whole person in his systematic approach to physiotherapy assessment and management.
Brayden complements exercise therapy with dry needling and manipulation therapies, and collaborates closely with other health professionals for a holistic approach to care.
He applies his expertise in sports and biomechanics as a trusted care provider for Tennis New Zealand, working alongside top-ranked tennis players. He is also a passionate industry advocate, committing his time through his roles as a member of New Zealand Society of Physiotherapy and as Treasurer of Sports Medicine New Zealand – Auckland.
