Virtual and In-Person, ConnectTherapy™ & the Foot-Ankle Complex - Sydney, Australia

A Whole Person Approach to Optimizing the Foot/Ankle Complex

16-05-series-p2-day-4-31

Are you looking for a simple yet powerful way of looking at function and treatment of the foot and ankle? Want to maximize results and make changes to your patients’ feet that previously have been considered unchangeable and “structural”? Are you wondering why a subgroup of your patients with recurrent tendinopathies, stress fractures, and other load related problems continue to struggle despite following all the latest research based protocols?

Did you know that foot/ankle dysfunction can be a significant contributor to pelvic floor problems and may be the reason why your specific pelvic floor interventions are not fully effective?

Then this course is for you! Learn a new way of looking at integrated foot/ankle function that considers influences from the rest of the body above in a structured, clinical reasoning format. ConnectTherapy is about simplification and enables you to make sense of the clinical presentations you see in the clinic.

This course has three components:

  • over 10 hours of Online Virtual content – lectures and demonstrations that you have access to for 12 months from your registration date; you can watch these at your own pace but need to complete them before the In Person component
  • Three (3) days of In-Person learning with LJ & the Assisting Team in Sydney, Australia, to learn the hands-on assessment and treatment skills that will change your practice (Aug 8-10, 2024)
  • access to a Resource Library of practical videos that illustrate the practical techniques and concepts that you have access to for 12 months from the completion of your In-Person course.

This new course format gives you lots of time to review and process all the lecture content online before joining LJ for the practical skills in person. Our high instructor to participant ratio at our in person courses ensures that you will get lots of hands-on feedback to ensure your success and application in the clinic. From there, the online video library access supports your application of the material into the clinic. Our aim is to support your clinical success!

If you have previously registered and completed the 11-hour Virtual component of the ConnectTherapy™ & the Foot/ Ankle Complex Course, you only need to register and pay for the In-Person component that comes with Resource library access – please email jennie@ljlee.ca for a specific registration form for the In-Person dates only.

In addition to learning innovative assessment and treatment techniques created by Dr. LJ Lee, this weekend will open up a whole new framework that will make your current techniques more effective and efficient. You’ll learn how to perform the tests that allow you to identify when the foot/ankle complex is the “Primary Driver” of your patient’s problem – whether it is symptomatic or not. You’ll also be able to determine when symptoms in the foot/ankle complex are being caused by dysfunction elsewhere in the body.

The predictive algorithm of the ConnectTherapy Drivers Diagnostic Chart™ will give you the confidence to know who will immediately and positively respond to treatment of the foot/ankle, and which patients require treatment elsewhere to optimize function and loads through the foot/ankle complex. You’ll also learn how the thorax and foot/ankle are related and connected via a variety of mechanisms. Finally, you’ll understand the role of footwear and how to make decisions re: support and orthotics.

By the end of this course you’ll have new tools to assess the foot and ankle, enhanced hands-on and visual perceptive abilities to see where and how the foot is non-optimal during functional tasks, and new treatment techniques to release and train Foot/Ankle Drivers for better function across multiple activities.

Sign up now and improve your outcomes for all patients with foot/ankle problems with ConnectTherapy.
